We are… well, we’re something different. We absolutely love
Christ, but we are dissatisfied with the status quo of “church as
usual.” We don’t have most of the things that a typical church
service has – there are no pews, no stained glass windows, no hymn
books – in fact, we meet in a high school cafeteria. But, we
believe that church is not about a building or a list of programs –
it’s about people. So, our focus is on caring for the people around
us and valuing them as individuals, just as Jesus told us to. That’s
why we seek after authentic community that embraces deep teaching and
discussion as well as social responsibility, in a place where it is
safe to talk about, question, and even bring doubts about Jesus and
the Bible. That’s why we seek to make room around the table for people
who know that they shouldn’t have to be mirror images of the traditional
church member in order to talk about and follow after Christ. The dress
is casual, the music is similar to what you might hear
in a coffee shop, there is free coffee and donuts, and there are activities for children and preschoolers (or for those who prefer to stay together, we gladly make room for your kids in the service). We’re not perfect, we’re not ever going to be perfect, but we want to be open and we want to be real. Wherever you find yourself on your spiritual journey we invite to join us for a cup of coffee (or three) and listen to a practical, meaningful message about Jesus and the Bible and the significance they claim to speak into our lives.
