The Bridge Community Church

What to Expect

Where and When Does the Bridge Meet?

The Bridge holds its Worship Services on the campus of Lake Pointe Academy (3168 Hands Mill Hwy, York, SC 29745), Sunday mornings at 10:45am. We begin serving coffee and snacks at 10:15am. Small Groups for all ages meet on Sunday morning at 9:45am, before our Worship Service.

What Should I Expect When Attending the Bridge?

When you arrive on the Lake Pointe Academy campus, pull into the parking lot and you will be greeted by our parking attendants. Our greeters will welcome you into our friendly, casual environment and make sure that you know exactly where you are going. We invite you to help yourself to coffee and other beverages and snacks, which will begin being served 30 minutes before each of our services and continue during our services. During our services, you'll experience worship through music, powerful dramas, and impacting videos, paired with biblical messages relevant to your daily life. You'll notice variety in how people participate in the worship time: some sit, others stand, some raise their hands. However you are comfortable responding to God in worship, we invite you to do so with an honest heart, giving Him your best.

What Should I Wear?

Clothes. Please feel free to dress normally and comfortably. Casual dress is our norm.

What About My Children?

If you have children, we cannot wait to have them join us in one of our Children's Ministries! We have several opportunities for your children to grow and learn about God's love in a safe, clean and fun environment! We offer Small Groups for children ages birth through 5th grade. Here they will learn to apply the Bible to real life through Bible stories that guide them in decisions and teach them how to honor God throughout their day-to-day lives. After our Small Groups, we offer Nursery for ages birth through Kindergarten durign our Worship Service. During this time we have our own worship time and enjoy games and crafts that continue the message of God's love. Our older children are encouraged to take part in the normal worship service with their families. We do have activity and coloring pages available in our main lobby that they are more than welcome to take and work on during the service. Our Children's Ministries are fully staffed with people who are committed to teaching and ministering to children. All of our children's and preschool workers undergo a background screening before serving in these ministries, so you can be confident that your child is well-cared for and having a great time learning about God while you worship.

What About Middle School and High School Students?

Our Youth Small Group meets at 9:45am (before our Worship Service), at the same time that our other Small Groups meet. Our Youth then attend our main worship service. We also invite and welcome older students to begin giving back to others in their community through volunteer service.
